Actor Gérard Depardieu's son Guillaume married his girlfriend Elise in a simple ceremony just outside Paris, before heading off for a honeymoon on an island in the Indian Ocean.
The couple met through friends, and although Guillaume confessed that he never thought he would marry, he says: "From the first glance I knew that Elise would be my wife. Today I know I have a woman who I love."
Although the speed of his proposal surprised Elise, she said yes straight-away. "The answer would have been the same the day before, six days, three months or seven years afterwards," she says.
Also at the ceremony was Guillaume's mother Elisabeth, to whom Gérard was married for over twenty years (right).
